One day, the master was going for a long journey. He summoned his three servants and had entrusted them a sum of money.
To the first one he gave 5 talents, in which the servant went and made another 5 talents. To the second servant 2 talents were given. He too made another 2 talents. Both had done well according to the measure of faith given to them. But the third servant... aww.... While people may have different interpretation on the story, the key takeaway is that everyone trade and make choices one way or another. Beyond money, we trade our time for people and things, prefer an idea to another, seize an opportunity and give up alternatives. I love trading. I love the story and the freedom we all possess to make our choices. But with such freedom, we will also bear the fruit of our action. Many of us wanted our life stories to be like the first two servants. I have great news for you: You play a major part in writing your own life stories. The thing is, how would you want it to be written? =) |
