Longer version about me
I was born and raised in Bintulu, a place where I gradually learned about the art of trading. My family were hawkers by trade, so I had early exposure about the market as early as I could remember. I traded most of my childhood time with video games, but also enduring friendships that enrich my life even today. In schools I was made to excel in chess and math, and I went and studied accountancy (my first choice was actually software engineering). Fast forward today, I have accumulated a decade of teaching and research experience in the area of decision science. I am mostly comfortable with the concept of management accounting where one must look beyond the quantitative information for informed decision. My interdisciplinary background in communication and psychology when I did my Master's allowed me to pursue the latest field of expertise, i.e., behavioral economics and choice architecture. I am currently in my final draft for doctoral examination. On the side I trade my own hard earned money. I had fair share of euphoric winning as well as gut wrenching losses. Both spectrums enriched my personal view on trading in a very significant way. As a seasonal speaker and writer, it is only natural for me to share what I know and to advance the field of trading and investing. I hope that my little contribution will help people to be more financially literate, responsible, and sustainable, leading to lasting changes to other spheres of their lives. |
